200 log head identification
i just got my newly remanufactured 200 engine. The block is a 67 casting. But the head is showing C9DE-6090
so this is a 69, but the port opening is much larger for the carb, is this a large log head ?

Would this casting be a 77 large log ?
Hi Scott. That sounds like a large log. If the final letter in the casting number is M or greater, it is definitely a large log which is good, you just have to make sure you account for the increased combustion chamber size. get it checked (or do it yourself). You will probably want around 56cc for a '67 and the large log heads are around 63cc. Do the math and figure out what the compression ratio will be.
